Webspinner (Embia savignyi)

Webspinner Embia savignyi is a very interesting subsocial species for breeding originating from Egypt. It feeds on vegetables, fruits, trouch, dried shrimp or fish flakes or beatle-jelly. It is also necessary to provide a source of calcium, e.g. sepia bone. Wings occur only in adult males, juvenile individuals and adult females are wingless. Webspinners builds a nest from their own webs, from which they create longer narrow tunnels. Females lay eggs all year round. Terrarium with closed lid and fine stainless steel grid recommended.

 Keeping temperature ranges from 16-26° C.

 For sale are groups with 5 subadult/adult individuals.
